Master craftsman hand-polishing furniture
The Craft

A workshop where
time still matters.

Three generations of carpenters. One workshop in Channagiri. Zero shortcuts.

Process

From log to living room

Every piece passes through five stages of hand-work before it reaches your home.

01

Wood Selection

Every plank is hand-inspected for grain consistency, moisture content and structural soundness before it enters the workshop.

02

Precision Cutting

Seasoned wood is cut to exact dimensions using a mix of traditional hand-saws and calibrated machines for perfect joints.

03

Hand Joinery

Mortise-and-tenon, dovetail and tongue-and-groove joints — no metal brackets, no compromises on strength.

04

French Polish

12 to 18 coats of shellac polish, applied and hand-rubbed between layers for a mirror finish that breathes with the wood.

05

Final Assembly

Every piece is assembled, aligned, and stress-tested before leaving the workshop. What doesn't pass is rebuilt.

Workshop ethos

Built with patience, not pressure

Our workshop in Channagiri has been running for over 25 years. The same families work here — fathers teaching sons, uncles guiding nephews. That continuity shows in the furniture.

No outsourcing
Cutting, joinery, polishing and assembly all happen under one roof.
Traditional tools
Hand planes, chisels and spokeshaves sit next to modern saws — the right tool for the right job.
Quality over speed
A dining table takes 6–8 weeks because rushing ruins joinery. We don't rush.
Generational knowledge
Our senior carpenters have 25+ years of experience. Apprentices train for 3 years before solo work.
